Dear, TLA Friends:

TLA is launching two (2) new recurring publications:

  • TLA Rancher’s Digest – A monthly publication beginning July 17, 2025.
  • TLA Updates – A tri-weekly publication beginning July 10, 2025.

Complete details can be found in 'New and Upcoming TLA Publications' section below.

Please note the following:

  1. These two publications will not replace TLA sharing TLA event and program announcements, time sensitive and/or important information or needs regarding Flint Hills Ranching and Tallgrass Prairie Conservation, nor when more detailed communications are needed or best.

    TLA created these two publications to limit the number of communications we send you regarding relevant events and information and provide a simple and quick way for you to access the information provided in each entry we publish.
     
  2. The recurring entries for both publications will be shared using the TLA Email and the Text Messaging Lists, and the message sent to both lists will look the same – these messages will start with a friendly salutation, followed by the name and date of the publication entry, and end with the short URL for that specific entry.

New and Upcoming TLA Publications | “TLA Updates” and “TLA Rancher’s Digest”

  1. TLA will release its first tri-weekly “TLA Updates” publication on July 10, 2025. 

    TLA Updates includes four (4) sections:
    1. TLA Friends Community Events & Shares
    2. Ag Meetings & Events
    3. TLA Updates
    4. Ag Opportunities

Alternatively, you can go to the “About” tab that is located on the main menu at the top of every TLA webpage – hoover over/tap the “About” tab and select the “TLA Updates” tab that appears in the sub-menu.

  1. TLA will release its first monthly “TLA Rancher’s Digest” on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

    This Rancher-focused digest will include six (6) sections that shares information and resources focused on Ranch-, Ag-, and Grassland- Conservation relevant to Flint Hills Ranchers and Rangeland Managers:
    1. Grazing | Native, Tame, Cover Crops
    2. Livestock | Beef, Sheep, Goats
    3. Management | Forage, Herd, Ranch, Range, Invasive Species
    4. Market | Livestock Supply Chains, Inputs, Land
    5. Ag Policy | Smoke Management, Natural Resources, Wildlife
    6. Ag History | Flint Hills, Kansas, Great Plains

Alternatively, you can go to the “For Ranchers” tab that is located on the main menu at the top of every TLA webpage – hover over/tap the “For Ranchers” tab and select “Rancher Resources” tab that appears in the sub-menu. Once on the Rancher Resources webpage, click “Rancher’s Digest”.

These monthly “TLA Rancher’s Digest” entries will be sent out via our TLA Text and Email Messaging Lists – the message sent to these messaging lists will provide a short URL that leads to the TLA webpage that permanently houses each digest entry.
