How TLA Can Help
TLA Rancher Services are built to support Ranchers and Landowners in practical, grounded ways. Some requests are about financial help for training or professional support. Some are about mentoring, planning, introductions, partner connections, facilitation, or working through a grassland concern with neighbors.
These services are meant to keep support clear and accessible while respecting each Rancher’s operation, decisions, and goals.

Across-the-Fenceline
Across-the-Fenceline: A TLA Rancher-to-Rancher Working Group Initiative helps Ranchers and Landowners form a local working group around a connected grassland concern.
- For concerns that cross fencelines, ownership lines, or neighboring places
- May include grazing, water, fire, invasive species, erosion, hay meadows, wildlife habitat, fences, access, or partner support
- TLA helps facilitate, organize maps and local knowledge, connect resources, prepare a working plan, and track follow-up
TLA Women Ranchers of the Tallgrass
TLA Women Ranchers of the Tallgrass supports women connected to ranching, land stewardship, livestock, prairie care, family operations, and rural grassland communities.

Across-the-Fenceline: A TLA Rancher-to-Rancher Working Group Initiative
Some grassland concerns are easier to understand when neighboring Ranchers and Landowners can look at the connected ground together. Across-the-Fenceline gives local groups a supported way to gather, talk through what they are seeing, and leave with practical next steps.
Each Rancher and Landowner keeps full say over their own ground. TLA supports the process by helping the group gather, organize local knowledge, review maps or field notes, connect useful resources or partners, prepare a working plan, and track follow-up.
- Grazing pressure, forage distribution, and pasture recovery
- Water, fire, invasive plants, woody expansion, and erosion
- Native hay meadows, fences, access, wildlife habitat, and sensitive areas
- Partner, contractor, program, or cost-share readiness
TLA Women Ranchers of the Tallgrass
Women Ranchers of the Tallgrass is part of TLA’s Rancher-to-Rancher program work. It is being built to support connection, learning, practical knowledge, and encouragement among women who are connected to Ranching, livestock, land stewardship, prairie care, family operations, and rural grassland communities.
This program honors the many ways women contribute to ranching and the prairie, whether through daily livestock work, land and grassland decisions, family operations, business management, community leadership, conservation work, or supporting the next generation of Ranchers.
